Betty passed away peacefully on August 6, 2016, the day after her 77th birthday. Betty was born Wolfborough, NH, August 5, 1939 to Theodore Gray and Elizabeth Hopkins.
Betty worked for many years in shoe factories and as a chambermaid. She married Richard "Dickie" West in 1956, they had 5 children. They were married for 45 years before his passing in 2001. Betty loved her family and her Bingo.
She is survived by her two sons, Bob Turton of Calais, Charles West And his wife, Mary of Sullivan; her two daughters, Elizabeth Griffiths and her husband, John of Michigan; Grace Riley and her husband, Robert, of Sullivan;10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Dickie; and son Richard Jr.
A memorial service will be held August 14, 2016 at 2pm at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 175 Downeast Hwy, Ellsworth
